ATARI Asteroids Deluxe Cocktail Arcade Treasure

You have a wonderful recreation room in your garage or basement and your pool table and other toys are nice; yet there is a void. You've noticed this before but really didn't have the cash to spend on filling that void. Well now is your once in a lifetime opportunity to buy an Atari classic, Asteroids Deluxe (which is very similar to the original Asteroids but there are updates to technology and game play--i.e. ITS BETTER).

This is a cocktail version, so it is awesome for your basement as it allows you to go head-to-head with your friends while having your mugs of beer or wine (or whatever your elixir of choice) sitting next to you on the tabletop glass. Cocktails are actually pretty rare as most arcades bought stand up versions of the game; an this one is a beauty!

It was purchased new by a friend of mine and was a fixture in his small ma-and-pa deli in Cherry Creek until he sold his business back in the 90's. He took this game from his deli when he sold it and put it in storage with a thick furniture pad around it for protection...when he moved to Florida, he called me to his storage unit as he knew I liked classic games and after we took the pad off I was floored at the condition it was in for its age. Hence why I suggest this to finish off your game room; you won't get many opportunities at a nearly 30 year old game in this condition often!

I'm a gaming nut and I am pretty particular about cosmetics, so I want to detail to you the specifics of this machine. There are some slight scratches on the tabletop glass which is common for cocktail machines. The monitor in the unit is very bright and focused and there is no burn. The game was well taken care of. There is minor cracking on the control panel overlays but the overlays are intact, cracks are typical with age and having the control panels in this condition is very rare I've been told by friends "in the know". The cabinet is in wonderful shape with no real detractions to speak of.

I have an original manual for the stand-up version of the game. I do not have the keys to the unit; the person that I bought this from couldn't find them; but the coin door is unlocked and the game is 100% playable. I haven't had a need to get in the unit so I haven't drilled out the locks and replaced them. I was told this is an easy process and you can get replacement locks cheap from any coin-op vendor in town--they will also do the drilling for you in most cases for free or a nominal charge if you require that. The person I bought this from thought the original manual was locked inside the cabinet; but I can't confirm this.

This game is incredible shape (especially given its age) and again would be a wonderful addition to your game room. I've priced this to sell quickly; so contact me ASAP and we can arrange for you to play it!
