Museum Quality Synthesizer Sale: Contact alex atat obliq.net

Hello. I have been collecting synthesizers for over 20 years and am now making some very cool pieces available. Many of these are extremely rare and sought after; I suspect I own the only one of many of these in the Colorado area. Now is your chance to aquire something that is extremely hard to come by, and in immaculate condition!

UPDATE: I will update this page as I am selling new gear. It will say AVAILABLE or have a price if it is for sale. I have been asked by many to keep this site up for reference of the internet community, so if the piece doesn't have a price or say AVAILALBE, then don't contact me unless you have something cool to offer me! ;)

Several of these pieces you will probably only see once or twice in your lifetime for sale at this level of quality. You have wanted an exotic modular synth, or one of these specifically, for years I bet; now is your chance to pick up not only a wonderful sounding and museum quality piece, but an investment piece as well as these will only become more in demand!

I have more information and pictures for each of these, just click on the picture to get to the details page. I am posting locally first and then national and then international. If you are local I can deliver or we can figure out a good meet up if you live outside of 100 miles from Denver. If you are not local, I will ship the courier of your choice, and with the quality and rarity of these pieces I want to have them professionally packed. I will ship worldwide (you can take advantage of the weak exchange rate of the US Dollar!) but again the buyer will need to pay all packing and shipping. I require you pay insurance for the value of the synth for each package as well.

Finally, I will accept offers on the units but have the right to turn down any offer. Also, if you've never heard of my band or label, please check out Obliq Recordings, home of Multicast. Many of our tracks where made using these pieces of gear, many MP3s are available to sample online. Now let’s get to the good stuff!!!

genoQs machines| Octoups Legacy Edition

Okay, here is the deal. I love this thing; but a friend who bought a Black Sea limited edition decided he didn't like his so I bought it. Now I have two and need only one. Thus it is for sale. I'm taking offers on this unit now; but will put a price up if none of the offers are acceptable; they are currently going for $3700 new until they run out of legacys, then the Octopus is $3900.

Looking for a fair offer.

Steiner Parker SynthaSystem Modular

As you probably are aware, this is a very rare synthesizer.  This comes with the synth, keyboard, power cable and keyboard cable. Note that I bought the cable off of ebay many years after I bought the modular; it originally only came with the synth and keyboard. I had the keyboard packed away as I was using analog sequencers to trigger the modules so I only have just tried the cable. It didn’t seem to work but I didn’t give it much effort either.

As you will see the modular is in exquisite shape; fit for any museum. The keyboard has a couple of small dings and scuffs on the side panels but is also in wonderful condition as well.

Currently not for sale, unless you can convince me which will be a challege.

Arp 2600 (orange/black version)

Again, this is in wonderful shape. I have used the heck out of this synth and it sounds amazing! As you can see the unit is in near factory-new condition. There are a couple of very minor and light surface scratches on the front panel (see if you can find them in the picture!) and the tolex has a few very small rips and dings; especially on the lid/cover that removes from the synth. A couple of the slider caps appear to have once cracked and the original owner has glued these back together, but you can still see the crack; again I’ll let you see if you can see this in the photo. I mention these things because I’m a serious collector and prefer to disclose everything that isn’t making this factory new. I have seen I think 12 Arp 2600s in my lifetime; and this is in BY FAR the best condition (again, fit for a museum). You can see there are some dots on the keyboard, this was used by the original owner to learn keyboard (he played guitar). I have left them on the keyboard as it is neat, but you can certainly take these stickers off with some soap and water.

This comes with some exciting extras too. I am including 8 patch cables (1x 72”, 1x 42”, 1x 36”, 3x 21”, 2x 13”), the original manual, the original keyboard manual (hard to find), and the original 2600 Patch Book which has some great patches! It comes with the power cable too (which can be difficult to find!). Both the Keyboard and Synth have their lids. The keyboard appears to have been modified as you can see right by where the cable comes out. I never figured out what these were for as I hardly ever used the keyboard.

Sold. Thanks!

Arp 1613 Sequencer (orange/black version)

This is truly a museum piece. It is mint! Completely Mint!!! It is my favorite sequencer and works well with most analog gear! All the slider caps come with the unit and only a few minor scuffs are on the bottom of the unit. All other sides are in perfect shape (see the pictures!).

I have a bunch of extras for this too. First, I have the Arp start/stop foot switch. Also the original manual (has seen some water along the way, but still in good shape) and 2 extra photocopies of the manual. I have a set of original patch sheets and the service manual (for the 1601).

I doubt you will ever see a cleaner Sequencer available, it's truly that fantastic!

Sold.

Boehm Soundlab Modular

This is another rare find; I doubt too many have made it all the way to the US. This is a suitcase modular that sounds very similar to Sequential gear (I think it uses CEM chips). My favorite part of this was that it was banana jacks (so it worked well with my Fenix and homebrew gear) and it had a joystick!

I have many extras with this. Firstly the original patch cables. The original manual (in German…the picture on it makes me laugh every time I see it!) is in wonderful shape. I also have a power converter as this has a European plug and power supply. The case has a few cracks (it is plastic) which is to be expected but is very sturdy. The plastic case has a few scuffs here and there which typical for a “suitcase” synth. The clamps that hold the case together are in great shape.

SOld.

Korg Mono/Poly

Again, this is in great shape. The fake wooden sides have some dings and scuffs which is typical for the MonoPoly. This 4 oscillator synth is FAT and deep sounding. The arpeggiator is wonderful and the polyphonic mode is also really nice. There are a few keys that will sometimes not trigger if you are not pressing hard; common with most Mono/Polys. I used CV/Gate most of the time so I never had the need to get that looked at; but every key was tested and does work.

I have a photocopy of the owners manual (I’m still looking for the original, which I have somewhere; if I can’t find it by the time I ship this out to you then I will keep in touch and send it when I do find it). I also have the service manual photocopied.

This is a wonderful sounding, fat synth with lots of versatility and analog power I especially like the “effects” section!

Echolette E51 tape delay

This is a old tube tape delay that was favored by bands like the Beatles back in their time. The unit came to me from Hamburg and suffered a little neglect there; there are several rust spots on the back panel and on the inside. These are relatively minor and you will see them in the pictures. This was the sister unit of the M120 and can be connected using a 5-pin DIN plug. The unit does delay/reverb but it could probably stand to be serviced due to its age (from the mid-60s I believe). I've seen extra tapes available on ebay and you can also make your own.

Sold.

Roland SRE-555 Chorus Echo

This was the grand daddy of the Roland Tape Echo units. It works and has some scuffs and dings around the unit. Inside (see the picture) it is in nice shape. The tape I have in it now could stand to be changed; and I am including a new tape I purchased from Analogue Solutions. I have a photocopied service manual for this unit. This is not “museum” quality cosmetically, I would say it is above average. But it does function (tested it this morning).

Sold.
